Normal trash and recycling service for Village residents is on Monday each week, unless a Holiday (noted below) falls on Monday. Yard waste is also picked up on Mondays during the months of April through November.

Please remember that if a Holiday falls on a weekday, your scheduled service day will be delayed by one day. Regular collection schedule will resume the following week.

Yard Waste

GFL's Yard Waste Collection will resume in Spring 2021. Please BAG leaves or use appropriate containers listed below.

Yard waste is defined as leaves, lawn cuttings, shrubs and tree trimmings. Place into paper biodegradable bags or labelled  containers up to 35 gallons in size. We enforce a weight limit of 50 pounds. Brush and limbs greater than 2 inches in diameter must be in bundles not longer than 4 feet in length, and not exceeding a total of 18 inches in diameter, or more than 50 pounds.


Items Not Considered Yard Waste:
Dirt, Large Stumps, Gravel, Dead Animals, Sod, Sand, Animal Feces, Rocks


Recycling Program
Recycling Collection takes place every week on the same day as the regular waste collection. Please make certain your recycling is placed in a clearly marked, approved Recycling Bin or Cart.

Plastic Bags, Paper Milk/Juice Cartons, Styrofoam, Containers or Packaging, Garbage/Compost Food Waste, Propane Tanks, Paint Cans, Medical Waste/Syringes, Flammable Liquids Household Cleaners, Chemicals (Liquid or Dry), Wood Items, Concrete, Electrical Cords, Batteries, Garden Hoses, Tires, Wax Coated Cardboard, Wax Coated Paper Paint Cans, Food Soiled Cardboard/Paper
